As long as you have better than average (but not like, Harvard worthy) grades and a solid ACT score, you should be ok.

Remember to take all of your standardized tests seriously and don't slack off in school. If you do well enough on tests and have a good GPA you will be eligible for scholarships. If you do exceptionally on tests and in school you can even apply to the honors program.

I got in with a 32 ACT, 4.0 GPA, and also into the honors program, but this year they have made that a lot harder. I did two sports, and a few extracurriculars in high school. I think the University itself is not too hard to get into, but the honors program is a lot harder now.

It is extrememly easy now that the University is millions in debt, they will take anyone. I knew someone who got in with a high school GPA of 2.4 and an ACT of 18. Why would you want to go here???

Acceptance into Miami U for in-state students is aJul 21 2010Accounting
Acceptance into Miami U for in-state students is a little tougher than it is for out of state applicants, but if you graduated in the top half of your class and had a decent GPA and ACT (25+?) you should be fine. Out of state is very easy to get accepted. My old roommate from out of state scored a 22 on his ACT and a 2.7 GPA at HS graduation but was accepted anyways. I can only guess that this is because the out-of-state tuition is incredibly pricey and so the University receives a lot more money from the latter students.
